<p>In-house engineering and design capabilities have allowed Mitsubishi Electric to engineer and design unique shapes, sizes, and applications for the video display industry. For example, the first kinetic display systems in professional sports, and ceiling displays for retail applications.</p>

<p><span>MEPPI offers a complete suite of services to assist power utilities in the operation and maintenance of substations. Many times, these substations were manufactured by MEPPI, and this is a continuation of Mitsubishi Electric&rsquo;s customer service and warranty programs. Conversely, this can also be simply an augmentation of the power utility&rsquo;s operational and support services. It could also be extended to commercial and industrial substation operation, where the operation and maintenance of an on-site substation is not a core competency of the existing staff. In any case, Mitsubishi Electric can provide our team of highly trained technicians and engineers to provide professional and responsive services that meet the highest levels of quality and safety while being efficient and cost effective.</span></p>

<p>Our consulting experience includes inverter-based resources, FACTS, and HVDC. We specialize in the integration of advanced technologies, including custom model development, system controls, harmonic stability, and other specialized controls and interaction phenomena, along with their performance in the grid with traditional generation and equipment, including synchronous condensers.&nbsp; We are well positioned for such consulting endeavors, further supported by decades of expertise in power flow, stability, and electromagnetic transients and related analysis in the integration of traditional grid equipment (circuit breakers, transformers, reactors, capacitors, and other line, cable, and substation related equipment) and protective equipment (such as surge arresters and protective circuit breaker characteristics) in addition to the integration of inverter-based resources.</p>

<p>We supply many excitation systems for power plants using nuclear, steam, and hydro turbines. In the United States, one of Mitsubishi Electric&rsquo;s specialties is to replace existing rotating exciters with a static excitation systems to improve the performance, reliability, and maintenance of existing units. Mitsubishi Electric has supplied more than 200 thyristor based static excitation systems for new generators and to replace older excitation systems on existing generators.</p>
