Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI) Power-I® system is an advanced analytic platform that utilizes state-of-the-art computer vision technology and machine learning to perform virtual inspections and analysis of electrical substations.

The Power-I® platform is completely configurable and leverages a host of sensor devices to collect and analyze key data points in the substation. After baseline conditions are set, the intelligent platform monitors the key assets to identify trends and any data points that vary from the baseline (normal) conditions. Alerts can be set in the system to notify the appropriate personnel when anomalies are detected. 

The Power-I® system uses fix and pan/tilt cameras and other mobile sensor platforms, including Boston Dynamics® Spot® robot and Skydio® drone integration, to provide both visual light and thermographic images that are then fed to the cutting-edge analytics platform. The system compares the images collected to the baseline images to detect any possible issues. 

Virtual "patrols" can be scheduled so data can be collected and sent to the Power-I® platform autonomously. The three key customer values of the Power-I® Asset Intelligence Platform include:
